Without This, There Would be no Mother Mary

Without This, There Would be no Mother Mary

If Mary hadn’t believed, the first Christmas as we know it wouldn’t have taken place. The angel Gabriel appeared to the virgin Mary and told her that she would give birth to a son, and he would be called the Son of the Most High. She believed Gabriel. A short time later, carrying Jesus inside her womb, Mary visited her relative Elizabeth, who was pregnant with John the Baptist. Elizabeth began prophesying and said, “Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!” (Luke 1:45) Believing is as essential to Christians today as it was on the day Mary found out she was chosen and favored of God to be the mother of God’s Son.

Christmas Cups and Christian Chill

Christmas Cups and Christian Chill

Tis the season when the choice of cup design for serving coffee can make Christians apoplectic. This is in reference to a certain popular coffeehouse famously choosing to have solid red cups instead of designs that are Christmas-y, a few years back. A good way to avoid falling for any of Satan’s schemes is to learn what the Bible says about how he and his horde of demons operate. The following are the times the devil is known to attack.
Heaven Didn’t Wait

Heaven Didn’t Wait

One of the things God encourages Christians to embrace is the fact that we are already citizens of heaven (Philippians 3:20). It’s very cool that it says in Colossians 1:13 that “He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son.” A synonym for “transferred” is “transported.” When we get saved, it’s like we say, “Jesus, beam me up!” The blessings to come when our bodies leave earth and go to heaven are incredible.
Questioning the Power of Prayer?

Questioning the Power of Prayer?

Following devastating human tragedy that occurred in 2017, controversy arose in the U.S. in which sending thoughts and prayers came under fire. The trend of minimizing the value of thoughts and prayers has continued in social discourse to this day. This is a sad development for those of us who recognize that there is no power on earth greater than a believing prayer.
